In 2025, Jibe! Group marked20 years of delivering events and marketing programmes across Europe. What began over lunch and croquettes grew into an international journey shaped by ambition, partnership, resilience and yes, the occasional celebration on a table.
15 square metres filled with ambition
Jibe! Group started in a 15 square metre office in Amsterdam. Big ambitions, limited resources and a strong belief that we could build something different in marketing and events.
Our first team member, Debbie, helped lay the foundations of the company. The early years were hands on, practical and built around simply getting things done. We said yes to opportunities that stretched us and learned quickly along the way.
One of our first major international projects was a seven day event for Attachmate (acquired by Micro Focus International) in Marbella. When the first serious production budget was approved, it felt like a breakthrough moment. We had underestimated parts of it. We adjusted. We delivered. And we celebrated accordingly.
Moments that changed the game
Some milestones are planned. Others happen by chance.
During an event for NetApp, we were working at the same venue where Salesforce was hosting a programme. Their team faced higher attendance than expected and limited on site support. We stepped in where we could.
That simple act led to a conversation. The conversation led to collaboration. The collaboration became a partnership that has now lasted more than a decade.
It confirmed something we still believe today. Long term relationships matter more than individual projects.
Lessons we did not learn from a textbook
Not every memory comes with applause.
At a Partner Award Ceremony in Amsterdam, the event was in full flow when authorities required the music to stop due to permit issues at the venue. It was not the evening we had planned.
It was, however, a defining lesson. Since then, compliance, permits and risk management are embedded in how we operate. Experience is not built on smooth projects alone. It is built on accountability and improvement.

Twenty years in, the energy remains. The scale has changed. The responsibility has grown. The ambition continues.
