Participation 2010

Register your team today!

There are two ways you can participate in the 2010 edition of the IT SAILS regatta. The first option is to participate with your own team on your own sailingboat. The second option is that buy a complete package from us. This package includes a racing boat for a day, and a skipper. For this second option, we only have seven boats available for the 2010 edition.

In general, the only two requirements for participation are:

1. Your company or department is active in the IT industry. Participation is open to IT companies, but also to IT departments of Dutch companies from other industries.
2. The products, solutions or services your company offers are not in direct competition with those of a company that has registered to participate before you. IT Sails is a networking event, so we want to enable participants to bring their customers without the concern of possibly introducing them to a competitor.

If you use one of our yachts, the ideal number of participants per ship is 7. With 7 crew and the Waterlandyacht skipper everyone will have a task to perform during the race. You will be able to divide the jobs among your team, the skipper´s role will be that of a coach. This means that you can for example man a ship with two account managers and five customers, partners and/or prospects. Waterlandyacht is providing the fleet of 7 ships.

Available packages

Package 1: Join with your own sailing yacht

You can compete with your own yacht. Included in this package, for a maximum of 8 persons (more attendees are possible, a small extra charge per additional attendee will apply) and includes;

• Morning coffee
• Lunch
• Racing competition
• Price Ceremony
• All drinks during the day

Mooring fees in Monnickendam are not included in this fee.

Package 2: All Inclusive Package including yacht rental

This package allows you to effectively  'buy' a boat for a day. You will sail with a maximum of 7 people per yacht, assisted by a skipper from Waterlandyacht. Sailing experience is, for this option, not required. This package is all-inclusive includes:

• Boat rental
• Dedicated skipper for your yacht
• Insurances for your yacht
• Morning coffee
• Lunch
• Racing competition
• Price Ceremony
• All drinks during the day

Additional exposure
 

There are a number of promotional options available to you,to increase Your exposure, for example:

• Your company flags in the marina
• Lanyards for the badges with your company logo
• Branded sailing gear for your team
