The Hague, Rotterdam and Amsterdam: we will ensure your MICE-experience will be one that exceeds expectations

Holiday Season in Amsterdam

Amsterdam turns into ‘Winter Magic Amsterdam’ this Christmas. This makes Amsterdam the perfect destination for your Christmas party. The city will not only be beautifully illuminated with little Christmas lights, there will also be a Christmas canal parade, ice skating lanes and a cosy Christmas market. The magic starts when the lighting designs on the bridge and boats are turned on during the official opening ceremony on December 9. The absolute highlight takes place on December 17 as a spectacular parade of boats sails from the Prinsengracht to the Amstel River. On New Year’s Day, the festival ends with the Best Wishes Tour, a small gesture to those persons who contributed to making Amsterdam a better place during the past year.

The Christmas Canal Parade is a procession of forty lit and decorated boats that will sail on the canals. On the boats will be several choirs that will sing Christmas Carols. The boat parade ends at the Amstel. Do you want to organise your Christmas event in Amsterdam?  This is a really unique way to spend an evening. With your own private boat, you can join the canal parade. Dinner and drinks will be served on the boat. But be quick, because this special event is popular and the boats are limited!

A Christmas trip to Amsterdam will be perfect if you stay in hotel de Toren. With the fireplace on and a Christmas tree in the lobby, de Toren is a hotel where you feel at home. The Toren is situated on the Keizersgracht in the centre of Amsterdam. Overlooking  the famous Westertoren, the hotel is located in a district that offers plenty of beautiful and interesting places to see and discover with Christmas. The convivial and picturesque Jordaan district, where you can drink your hot chocolate, lies close by, as does the impressive Anne Frank Huis. And for your Christmas shopping, within less than a 5-minute walk lie the Dam square with its Royal Palace, the National Monument, shopping mall Magna Plaza, the Bijenkorf department store, the Berlage Exchange, and, a little further away, the infamous Red Light District.

To make your meeting or Christmas event extra special, we can organize a beautiful gala dinner in one of the great venues we have in Amsterdam, such as De Koepelkerk. This is a former Lutheran church on the Singel in Amsterdam. The interior has a monumental effect. It is (despite the rebuilding in 1826) the most baroque building from the seventeenth century in the Netherlands. Another great option is Taets Art Gallery. This art gallery is situated in two amazingly beautiful state memorial buildings at the North Sea Canal.

Program suggestion:

Day 1 – Transfer to hotel de Toren – meeting in the Koepelkerk with a cocktail reception afterwards – gala dinner at Teats Art Gallery

Day 2 – Tour through Amsterdam –lunch at the one of the great restaurants in the Museumquarter -  visit to one of the famous museums ( Rijksmuseum, van Gogh museum) – Participation in the canal boat parade with your own private boat – Dinner on the boat

Day 3  - Breakfast in hotel – transfer to Schiphol Airport
