Jibe! starts exploitation of 'de Stoomhal'; unique industrial event venue close to Amsterdam

Located on the Zaan,  a small river in the province of North-Holland in the Netherlands, you will find one of the best preserved warehouses, rice pellery Hollandia. During the Dutch Golden Age in the 17th Century, this district was dotted with approximately 900 windmills, which processed materials such as linseed, used in the paint industry, and agricultural products such as mustard seed and wood. Some of the windmills are still preserved in the Zaanse Schans.

In the old rice pellery, which used to be a factory, combined with a warehouse, an unique event location will become available as per May 2010. The halls where once one of the largest steam machines of the Netherlands was working, can then be used for events, seminars, meetings, private dining and cocktail receptions.

The Steamhall (or: Stoomhal in Dutch) exists out of a reception area with registration desk, cloakroom, toilets and 2 flatscreens, which can be used for your corporate presentation or which can be used to show some of our movies about the Zaan area. The adjacent meeting room area, with AV-facilities, wireless internet and extensive lighting, can be used for gatherings up to attendees.

On behalf of the Hollandia Foundation, who's goal it is to preserve historical buildings in the Zaan area, and make them accessible to a wide audience, Jibe! is looking after the rental and exploitation of this unique event venue. From today onwards, you can visit the the venue for an inspection.
